I’ll be working with Solomon Projects tomorrow, Tuesday June 4 to webcast the latest installment of Wandern. If you can, please sign on to the Breeze webcast at noon tomorrow. Or if you’re here and would like to come to the gallery, let me know.
Here’s the summary from Solomon’s site…
“#6 Live simulcast from Solomon Projects (to view online please visit http://www.solomonprojects.com on June 5th, beginning at noon)
Brian Bell and David Yocum
Conceptual Space
Tuesday, June 5 / 12 – 2PM
Bell and Yocum, both former Senior Project Architects with Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects in Atlanta founded their own firm, bldgs in 2006. They are a full service architecture practice dedicated to the creation of inventive and enduring works of architecture and urban design. David Yocum, AIA, received a Master of Architecture from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College. Brian Bell, AIA, received a Master of Architecture from Harvard University, where he was a John E. Thayer Scholar, and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Washington in Seattle.”
So we’ve all mastered photography, artmaking, video production, editing, web design, broadcast, webcast, castnets, castanets, etc. You get the picture.
Go to breeze.scad.edu/p20982449/ to view the recording of Jim Langford’s Beltline presentation at Solomon Projects. This was a very successful online event, and an interesting talk about greenspace in Atlanta. The talk begins about 5:30 into the archive. You can scrub through by dragging the pointer at bottom left, as shown below.
We’ll be working with Solomon Projects today to webcast the lecture of James Langford, state director of the Trust for Public Land in Georgia. These are the people putting together the Beltline, among many other important conservation projects.
Sign on to http://breeze.scad.edu/langford/ at noon today to watch the webcast.
In honor of Valentine’s Day (the day this was shot… sorry for the delay), we’ve decided to present you with a MUCH shorter video than the first day. You better like it.
Tonight, the whole gang attended the Atlanta Photography Group’s Annual Push-Pin Show. We had a ton of fun, and maybe some of our work will even sell. More importantly, we made a freaking long video… six minutes this time. Enjoy
Video: The Velocity of Gesture, or How to Build an Empire
Eric, Avantika, Rex and I took part in this video tonight at this opening for the show at the Dalton Gallery at Agnes Scott College. Several SCAD-Atlanta students from Avantika’s class collaborated with ASC students to create a piece in the back of the gallery. Steve showed up too. We had a good time, and you should go see the work.
We’ve recently seen a spike in the number of fixer spills and residue left on various surfaces in the photography labs. In some places it doesn’t even make sense, as fix shouldn’t even be that area (like the print washing room). Watch this educational video to learn more about fixer stains, proper print washing procedure and how to become a better person.
It’s time for another video. But this time, it’s Steve’s assault-style interview. Still working out some kinks on this whole video editing thing, but I think we’re getting there.
After going to the graduate mixer tonight, I decided to finally edit a little bit of the video I’ve been shooting the past couple of days. Thanks to Vivienne from the Animation department for helping shoot a bit. I edited this in iMovie, and it was my first time ever, so I’ve already learned a lot of what to do, and what not to do. So the next will be much better, hopefully.
